How do you know if you have Athlete’s Foot?

An athlete’s foot infection can cause the skin between your toes to split or blisters may form on your foot. It can burn or itch but don’t scratch the affected area as it will spread. If you notice a yellow discoloration under your nail or it becomes thicker and brittle, the fungus infection may have spread to your nails. Nail fungus infections need to be attended to immediately, treating the infection in the early stages before it becomes embedded, unsightly and embarrassing.

Athlete’s foot infections are usually not serious and can be cleared up by using anti-fungal over the counter medication. Apply it regularly and continue to do so even after the infection has cleared, this prevents re-infection.
